Banana-Blueberry Power Smoothie

I love eating foods that are purple. They just make me feel powerful! Do you guys remember that song Giant Purple People Eater from elementary school?! I just thought of it, what a weird song right? The 80s….

This smoothie will fill you up, give you great energy all morning long and is full of nutrients.

Lean Version 

  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 Tbs. peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • 1 scoop protein powder (70-100 calories per scoop - my favorite is Perfect Fit Protein in Vanilla (Availabe online at http://perfectfitprotein.com
  • 1 Tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or your favorite non-dairy milk)
  • 1 packet Truvia
  • 1 Tsp vanilla extract 

Body Builder Version (or if you need more calories!)  

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 2 Tbs. peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • 1-2 scoops protein powder (70-100 calories per scoop - my favorite is Perfect Fit Protein in Vanilla 
  • 1/8 cup (2 Tbs) whole oats 
  • 1 Tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/8 cup unsweetened almond milk (or your favorite non-dairy milk)
  • 1 packet Truvia
  • 1 Tsp vanilla extract
