Quinoa Flakes with Fruit 'n Nuts
I grew up eating cream of wheat for breakfast and loved it with lots of butter and, er, sugar. Well those days are behind me but luckily I discovered quinoa flakes which are delicious and have a similar texture.
Plus they take just a few minutes to make! Top them with fruit, berries, nuts. Stir in a scoop of protein powder. Add hot milk. You could even make a savory bowl with an egg and some guacamole!
- 1/3 cup quinoa flakes
- 1 cup water
- 2 Tbs. slivered almonds
- 1/4 cup dried mulberries
- 20g raisins
- 1 tsp ghee

Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add quinoa flakes and stir while boiling for 90 seconds. Take pot off heat and let cool. Cereal will thicken up more as it cools.
Remove cereal to a bowl and add toppings of your choice.
