A green smoothie is one of the best ways to easily increase veggie intake whether your goal is loss, gain or performance. Everyone can benefit from more veggies.
Spinach is especially good in green smoothies because it has a very mild flavor.
This is my go to green smoothie! I love having it at breakfast with some egg tacos or Ezekiel egg toast! This is great for a high or medium day, but you can also use it on a low day and reduce or eliminate coconut water to save on carbs.
- 140g frozen pineapple
- 55g fresh spinach
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 scoop vanilla Garden of Life Smooth Vanilla (or any vegan vanilla protein powder - I do not recommend whey as I dislike the flavor of whey with spinach)
- 1 cup regular water
- Optional: 1 tsp maca powder - for energy!
Blend all ingredients and drink up!
